Harper and Boozer are approved! We are super excited to announce that both Harper and Boozer, from Legacy Creek's first litter, have both achieved all of their OFA clearances as well as their AKC Championships, and are now approved as stud dogs. They are both co-owned and living in Colorado; to inquire about a possible breeding please contact us through our contact form. They will be available to approved (by us, their breeder) bitches only. If you are interested in a puppy from either boy, we hope to have our first litters sired by them in summer of 2020. If you have any questions regarding their health or the health of their pedigree, please contact us directly.

Today at the Arapahoe Kennel Club, Asia (Pearl x Zuko) went Winner's Bitch and Best of Opposite! Congrats to owners Daniel & Tasha, and thank you once again to Janine for showing our dogs!
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that we had to prematurely retire Ziva (Houha's Leavin a Legacy in Storm's Wake) from our breeding program. After our most recent attempt to breed her at the end of May, she developed severe pyometra- an infection of the uterus. During our treatment of her for this infection, it was also detected that her uterus was filled with cysts, and consequently she would likely never conceive. She has been spayed, and will continue living with our family as our middle son's unofficial therapy dog.
Regrettably, this also means that we will not be producing any litters until the earliest next summer, as our two up and coming girls, Sybil & Phoenix, become old enough; presuming they first achieve all of their clearances. Please stay in touch, and check back here for updates! In a single day show entry, 10 month old Phoenix (Matterhorn GSMD) goes Winners Bitch at Flatirons Kennel Club for her first two points! Thank you, Janine, for showing our girl!
Sybil (from Whispering Palms) & Zeus (Zuko x Pearl) earned their first points at the Garden City, KS dog shows in March! Thank you, Janine, for your expert handling of these pups!
We are super proud to announce that Gulliver, aka "Gully" (Zuko x Pearl) has earned his very first working dog title of Dock Novice at this week's Colorado Kennel Club show in Denver, CO! Congrats to his owners, Jessica & Adam Coatney, and all of the hard work they have put into Gully! At just 17 mos of age, this boy has a bright working future ahead of him with lots of fun!
Legacy Creek's Work Horse, DN We are sad to announce that Ziva's December breeding did not take. We will be attempting another breeding this summer with her next cycle. While we believe this was mostly an issue of timing (she ovulated right around Christmas, making vet participation in the breeding and breeding coordination challenging), she will have a thorough workup by our reproductive vet before we breed her again. For those of you on our waiting list, if the timing of this potential litter was important to you and you do not wish to wait for a future litter, please contact us for referrals to other responsible breeders in our area. While we cannot guarantee they will have a puppy for you, a referral sometimes helps!
Swissy Pride! Just goes to show the passion that Swissy owners have for their dogs!! Although we are not the most popular breed in the US, we love our dogs and love taking pictures of them and sharing those pictures! The contest rules asked for the most number of unique pictures of dogs of each breed (so no two pictures of the same dog) to be posted to the contest breed page, and the Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs won!! Thanks for sharing your love for the breed!
